Letters to Heaven

Here at Hartys of Chester we understand that for many, Christmas is simply not,

‘The most wonderful time of year’

For this reason, we have installed a Letters to Heaven postbox outside of our funeral home on Queen’s Park View. Anyone is welcome to post a letter. All letters are completely confidential.

We feel it is important, especially at this time of year to offer our support to our local community in which we feel very lucky to serve. For many, Christmas is a very difficult and challenging time of year, whether someone is experiencing their first Christmas without a loved one, or they have had many Christmases apart, it can be a time of dread.

Our hope is that this can bring a sense of comfort to those missing a loved one this Christmas.

We have complimentary letter writing packs in our reception room for those who feel that their little one’s would benefit from writing a letter to someone they miss dearly.

Should you be unable to travel to our funeral home in Handbridge, please speak with us so that we can arrange to post the letter on your behalf.

We hope to install this postbox outside of our funeral home every year to help those who need a physical outlet for their grief.
