I am truly heartbroken to hear about Arthur’s passing. He was one of those rare souls who could walk into a room and instantly make it brighter—his warmth, kindness, and quick wit were a gift to all who knew him. Arthur had a way of making people feel at ease, of turning an ordinary moment into something memorable with just a few words, a knowing smile, or a well-timed joke. He just had that knack. I was fortunate and privileged to have known him for many years, and I have so much to thank him for. He was not just a wonderful man but a presence—someone whose kindness wasn’t just a trait but a way of life. Whether it was through a helping hand, a heartfelt conversation, or simply the joy of his company, Arthur made a difference in ways that words can never fully capture. His absence will be deeply felt, but his impact will live on in the countless lives he touched.
My thoughts are with you and your family.
Much Love James HillJames Hill – 15th February 2025
Jesus must want him for a sunbeam. Taken far too soon . We hope he’s dancing in the stars showing them how it’s done with all his style and cheeky wit, that’s how we remember him. Paul without Arthur doesn’t bear thinking about . We know that you are paying the price of love Paul and hope that your surrounded by it and want to send you ours at this incredibly sad time and always ♥️

Your presence was a gift, and your memory will forever be cherished. Though you are no longer with us in body, your spirit remains in the hearts of those who loved you. May you find peace and rest, and may we honor your life by carrying forward the love and warmth you so freely gave. You will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Rest in peace my friend

I always got the best hugs from Arthur and Paul. And I can’t forget when they unexpectedly brought Flora round to mine for my birthday drinks. It was like when someone brings a small child round and you have to dash around like a loon trying to make your chaotic house safe

Arthur truly was the best. He was a man I could only wish to be. I loved his outlook on life. I remember when I told him that I loved an artist named Joel Zimmerman (AKA Deadmau5) in passing conversation. A month later, I got a “Deadmau5” t-shirt from Arthur and Paul on my birthday. To many it’s just a t-shirt, but to me, it’s a reflection that Arthur was a keen listener to those who he loved. A reflection on how he made his friends and family happy, by remembering even the smallest of details about them. Arthur will be missed, and his love will always shine through the cherished we all have with him.

I Miss You Always Arthur (Brodie) My heart has been left broken Since the day you had to go And the memories I treasure dearly Are in the tears that still flow You’re in my thoughts everyday And that’s how it will always be For you may be up in Heaven now But you’ll always be with me If only I could have the chance To see your face once more Or to hear your voice one final time Just like it was before The day that Heaven calls for me Will be a relief from all this pain I’ll run to you with open arms And we will meet again XXX

I moved to London a year before Arthur and only by chance bumped into him on a visit back to Jersey. We agreed to meet up and from that moment we clicked. Paul was studying most Saturday’s so we always met in the day, curiously mooched around Portobello Road mostly and went back to their’s in the evening, where Paul always kindly made us delicious dinners and I stayed over. We nicknamed ourselves Rod, Jane and Freddie and were super silly but devoted friends. There is so much more to say but the kindness and friendship you both showed me was something I will always treasure. Goodbye Pal!
