Messages of Condolence

  • Colin was a great guy who I had the pleasure of working with while in the RAF on 54 Sqn although we were different trades, socialising and playing football with. He was looked up to by everyone on the Squadron for his trade knowledge, football ability and being the great character that he was. A passionate man who talked nonstop about his family, football and cars. I think he had a Scimitar at the time.

He will be greatly missed by his RAF family and my thoughts go out to his family.

    Blue Skies Colin.

    Kevin Attree – 18th September 2026

  • I served with Colin on 54 sqn at Coltishall. He was a great character and good friend. I’m shocked and sorry to hear this sad news. My condolences and thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

  • I worked with Colin at RAF Coltishall in rhe 1980’s. He was older than me and I looked up to him. He offered me some very useful advice when I was having some issues. I often thought about it over the years and would have liked to bump into him again to thank him which I don’t think I really did at the time. A true gentleman.
    Rest in peace Colin.

  • My dear little brother, you will be sadly missed. Condolences and love to all the family. Blue Skies lad xx

    Dorothy Scott-Douglas – 18th September 2026

  • So many happy memories; playing football on the green at Elsdon, scooting around in various fast German cars, commiserating on the various ups (not many) and downs (plenty) of Newcastle United and a shared career in military aircraft so plenty of dits. Most of all the quiet family visits where we managed to laugh at the world and just get on with life. RIP Uncle Niloc xx
