Messages of Condolence

• Some people come into your life and make it better just by being themselves, Gran was one of those people.
  
  She treated me like one of her own, with kindness, warmth, and that special way she had of making everyone feel welcome. She had a heart big enough for everyone, and I’ll never forget the times she called me pet or flower, little words, but they meant the world coming from her.
  
  She had a gift for turning ordinary moments into memories: a chat over a cuppa, a cheeky Chinese she insisted on buying, a laugh that could brighten your whole week. Being around Janet felt like home and that’s not something you come across often.
  
  She was gentle, sharp, funny, and full of love. And even though she’s no longer here in person, I know that love carries on, in the people she cared for, in the memories we shared and in the way she made us feel.
  
  I’ll always be grateful for her kindness and the way she folded me into her world like family. Rest easy, Gran and thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

• From the very first day of meeting Jan she made me feel like part of her family. Spending many years going to Chester taking Siobhan down to Gran Jan’s for our holidays, then later on taking little Lou and almost every visit there was a visit to the zoo.
  Jan was the kindest, funniest and most generous soul you could ever meet.
  To me she will eternally 39.
